 Abby is a 4 year old female Shiloh Shepherd in Raleigh NC. Abby is a great girl. She is a very large female at about 125 pounds so she needs an owner who can physically handle such a large dog! She has an extremely high prey drive so absolutely NO cats or other small pets. 

She is being rehomed due to eliminating 2 family cats when the owners were out. She is very snuggly with her family and large animals. She loves all people (children & adults) and will otherwise make a great family pet. 

 Health: Abby is up to date on all her vaccines, spayed and microchipped. Top thoughts about Abby is she is currently on meds for seizures (they do not have pet insurance to transfer), these cost appx. $100/month and have kept her from having a seizure for over a year. She takes Phenobarbital and Potassium Bromide for the seizures and her meds are administered at same time each day with a treat she likes. She is very good at taking her meds. Due to her seizure history, there is to be absolutely NO electric fences, OR shock type collars ever used on her.

Koda is available in Littletown PA He is an 8yr old male Shiloh Shepherd and is in need for a new home. He is neutered and UTD on his vaccines What we know for sure, is that Koda's current placement is causing anxiety for him in his life and it needs to change. The home that would BEST FIT Koda is a home that has no other pets and with someone that can walk a dog that is over 100lbs. Koda walks well on a leash with his trainer and is very respectful. He has ZERO aggression with people. Koda in the past has lived with Corgis, and currently a Great Pyreness. The owner has said that the way in which Koda and the Pyr play seems like it could escalate so they keep Koda separated from all other dogs. The trainer says he is an anxious dog at the moment, away from home and in a new environment. When meeting farm animals, he whines and has anxious behavior. She is currently located in British Columbia Canada, but transport can be an option for the right new family!  This lovely girl is spayed and up-to-date on all her shots. She weighs 86 pounds and stands around 28” at the withers. Blue has some issues that will complicate her placement; she suffers from allergies and anxiety.

Rex :Central Florida

Name: Rex aka Sexy

Brief Summary of the Situation:

Until much earlier this year I was in my original home. Upon being diagnosed with perianal fistula's....I was relinquished to my veterinarian as my owner did not feel they could manage my care. I was placed in a rescue/doggy daycare in New England, where I remained for months until I was adopted by a very nice lady in the south.....But sadly my body score had dropped to a 1 out of 10 during that previous time in the kennel and after only about a week my new owner felt I needed more experienced management and some behavioral modification and training. At which time thanks to the ISSDC I found Summerwind. I was quickly transported to Central Florida and taken in where I was assessed by my new veterinarian and house mate Victoria Sara Piccone  

Now after a couple of months of management and new diet no while continuing on my medication I am thriving and almost 70 pounds!!

I do have degenerative joint disease in my hips so that is something my new family will need to know as well. I am comfortable and I move around freely now but my future will most likely involve management for my comfort as I age I.e. acupuncture, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory's. 

Uncle Warren Smiley has spent the time teaching me manners and how to live life happily for my new perspective owners❤️

Now for my ideal home:

Low to moderate exercise as to not put too much strain on my hips but normal pet family where I can enjoy playing with my toys, going for a walk or romping in my yard and lying by your feet in the evening💕

Due to being a larger boy, no small children. 

I do have some prey drive, so for everybody's sanity, no cats😻

In the right situation with experienced owners a multi pet household could be considered but due to my history it is felt that I deserve the time now to be King of a household And pampered as the only dog. 

I travel well and I'm crate trained but I prefer an owner that is not going to leave me all day as I want to be with you (However I am quiet in my crate while you are gone and I do not have separation anxiety)

I would love to stay close to Central Florida so that I may stay in touch with Summerwind as I have become quite fond of them💕

However aunt Joy and uncle Warren are traveling later in October to Philadelphia, So transport may be an option for the perfect situation for me. 

Experienced German Shepherd or Shiloh owner preferred and I will require regular grooming as I am a long hair boy but believe it or not I shed less than most short haired German shepherds with proper brushing and care.

Brief Summary of the Situation:

Bruno is a beautiful 10+ year old male Shiloh Shepherd. His owner sadly passed away a few weeks ago and has been cared for by family but they cannot keep him. He is UTD on his vaccines and has been neutered. We are waiting on lab results for heart worm and senior blood panel. He is approximately 125 pounds and experiencing hind end weakness so he needs a home with no stairs. He would do best in a home with no small pets, cats, young or very active children. He prefers women. He is shy at first, but immediately warmed up to everyone at the vets office. He will need to be introduced to new people slowly as he has some anxiety due to not being exposed to many people. He will need an experienced owner.  He does warm up quickly and once he trusts someone, he is a complete lovebug and will follow his person everywhere! He loves to go for car rides and loves to be outside in the yard so a fenced in back yard would be best.  He likes to go for short walks and loves to hang with his people.

Zeke :Delaware

Brief Bio: Possible Shiloh Shepherd .:. PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION 🧐 Looking to find permanent placement for this male found in Delaware in the beginning of May. Vet thinks he is 3 to 5 years old but he very much looks and acts like a puppy. Currently approximately 75ish lbs, needs to gain another 7 to 10. He was found very matted and severely underweight. He is a cryptorchid...meaning he will need a complicated neuter. And yes, he will be REQUIRED to be neutered. He has been vetted, heartworm tested negative, lyme tested negative, and vaccinated (including rabies). Zeke is for an experienced dog owner only. He is a great family dog, good with children but will not be placed in a home with infants or toddlers only because of his energy and size. He is very wary of strangers and gets anxious, but never aggressive. He will need someone with strong leadership skills to guide him along with kind positive reinforcement training. He willingly hops in the car, walks well on a leash, has learned sit and is working on stay and recall. He was not housetrained when he was found, but is now. He is minimally food motivated and not toy motivated. High praise works best. He is dog friendly, big and small, but he is a big dog that throws his paws and body around so some dogs may not tolerate him well. Fenced yard preferable but considerations will be made. The family who found him absolutely loves this dog and want to receive updates and pictures from his new family. They would love to keep him, but with two young very needy kids, one of them being a 15 month old getting into everything, he is more dog than they need and know it’s what is best for Zeke as well.

EVA is a 1 year old female available in Gaithersburg MD. She had surgery at 8 weeks for a vascular ring. She recovered well, but has never been successfully house trained. She just bloated about 2 weeks ago and survived. Her stomach was tacked, “Gastropexy”. She is very high energy. She is going to need a special home. The current owner started her on a raw diet and she is doing well with it. We prefer a new home in the mid-Atlantic region as travel is difficult.

Brief Summary of the Situation:

Paxi is almost 5years old. She is spayed and is up to date on her vaccines. She is being rehomed because she does not get along with another female dog in the home. You must be able to pick her up in person. She suffers from some anxiety and we will not traumatize her with a commercial transport method. She needs a quiet home where someone is usually there....either works from home or is retired. She has a facial issue, called wry bite. Her teeth and upper muzzle are very out of whack......her owner says it doesn’t interfere with her ability to eat. She is a very sweet girl and needs a calm quiet home where she can relax. Older kids are ok.....she loves them and loves to play, just no babies or toddlers. Ideally no other dogs or cats, though she may accept a large male dog. She has not lived with cats.....so definitely no cats.  

She will come with her slow feed dish, soft crate, stuffed beaver and a blanket.

Shiloh was born January 2015. She is Washington state. Must be within driving distance of her current home in Port Angeles, WA.

She prefers women, and is loving and protective of children. Suspicious of men. Does not do well with small animals (such as chickens, etc). She does not like car rides, and tends to get car sick even with medication from the vet. She is an energetic dog who loves to run. It sounds like she may have some separation issues when alone in the house, so a human who is home a lot would be ideal. She also gets along well with other dogs.
